Dr. John McManus takes role as the medical advisor to 7Layers’ growing mHealth test & certification services group.

Irvine, CA, July 11, 2012 -The health expert Dr. John McManus MD MCR MBA FACEP, will advise 7Layers in the continued development of the 7Layers medical test & certification services. As an early provider of mHealth (mobile health, wireless health) test services, 7Layers is currently working with governmental organizations, mobile health organizations, and medical mobile device companies to meet the growing needs of the mobile healthcare industry. By bringing on Dr. McManus, 7Layers joins wireless technology know-how with medical expertise for the benefit of the mHealth industries.

COL (Ret.) Dr. John McManus is a trauma and emergency medical expert, and served as director for the U.S. Army’s Center of Pre-Deployment Medicine. Dr, McManus is a physician executive that possesses extensive and progressively responsible experience that provided clinical leadership and medical management in both the Department of Defense and civilian medical community. Dr. McManus is an internationally recognized researcher and speaker with over 500 presentations and an accomplished author of over 100 scientific publications, including the editor of 5 medical textbooks. He is on the forefront of practicing medicine in the field. Dr. McManus has received many honors for his work, including the National Emergency Medicine teaching award by the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. McManus has participated and advised in several medical disasters including acting as an advisor to the medical response to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the devastating earthquake in Haiti. His experience with practicing medicine in the field makes him an exceptional mentor to the mHealth industry.
